Pelican Products in South Deerfield, MA is hiring an Inventory Control Clerk I to help maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, root-cause analysis of variances, and smooth material flow across production. You will partner with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to minimize disruptions.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year in inventory control or related fields, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of inventory control, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience performing inventory counts, reconciliations, or inventory analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts of raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, packaging, and inventory throughout the facility.
• Review inventory records and ERP system data to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Research inventory variances by reviewing transactions, documentation, and material movement.
• Partner with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and other departments to resolve inventory issues and minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous inventory improvements.
• Conduct physical inventory audits and assist with scheduled inventory counts.
• Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory accuracy.
• Help maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting Pelican's commitment to Quality and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
