Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk I to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper receipt, shipment, and corrective actions for damaged items. You will audit, report, and collaborate across departments to improve accuracy while complying with safety rules.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, reporting metrics, handling recalls, and monitoring warehouse capacity. A high school diploma and 0–2 years in warehousing are required; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
  • Manual dexterity: ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Physical stamina: ability to sit, walk, or stand for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Mobility: ability to crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push, or pull intermittently.
  • Visual acuity: close, distance, and color vision; depth perception; ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong team player.

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding and adherence to safety rules and reporting requirements.
  • Perform job functions based on instructions and pre-defined guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Job description

The Inventory Control Clerk I is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records. This role ensures all paperwork and procedures are completed to verify received and shipped orders, properly record transactions, and account for defective or damaged products with appropriate corrective actions.

Primary Responsibilities
