Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to provide critical administrative support to the Shift Manager and to lead cycle and month-end counts, reconcile variances, and assist with production scheduling.

This role involves training associates on scanning procedures, conducting daily cycle counts, reviewing material variances in Microsoft D365, and ensuring accurate inventory and proper categorization of stock, with a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks, reprioritize as needed, and work within time constraints.
• Ability to communicate well, both though written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to become forklift certified.
• Fast-paced environment that requires organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to perform at levels to meet peak demands in periods of high volume and activity.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lb of boxes, film rolls, and seasoning bags.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily cycle counts and assign SKUs to designated locations.
• Record and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system inventory records.
• Review and analyze material variances in Microsoft D365.
• Lead month-end inventory counts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Verify SKUs, product quantities, product quality, and code dates.
• Identify and sort product into categories: damaged, stale/out-of-code, outlet/short-code, and good stock.
• Generate and distribute Open RMA reports in D365 to appropriate managers.
• Perform weekly audits of trailers, TRACK, and RAF storage locations.
• Train and support associates on proper scanning procedures to minimize inventory discrepancies.
• Provide support for production scheduling activities as needed.

This role provides critical administrative support to the Shift Manager and serves as a pivotal resource at the Kings Mountain manufacturing center. Rotating Work Schedule

• Week 1: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM
• Week 2: Monday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM-6:30 PM (Schedule repeats weekly)
