Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. seeks an Inventory Control Clerk at Building Envelope - Muscle Shoals, AL, to manage inventory and ensure timely material flow to the main plant. Responsibilities include data entry in SAP, FIFO adherence, and cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing and Planning teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in warehousing, CDL, and experience with SAP/TMS. Training and safety compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience in warehouse, distribution center, logistics/transportation.
  • Must have CDL; experience in customer service and logistics software.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and offloading materials.
  • Data entry into warehouse management system (SAP).
  • Verify daily inbound/outbound inventory reflect SAP figures.
  • Ensure orders are picked according to FIFO.
  • Move material between warehouses/plant by truck.
  • Maintain raw material storage area.
  • Support cycle counts and reconciliation with Materials Manager.
  • Coordinate movements of raw materials in offsite warehouses.
  • Draft standards to reduce gaps and improve footprint usage.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory and SOX compliance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the efficient use of the organization’s storage facilities. Activities includeforecasting anticipated materials requirements, ensuring the timely flow of materials to mainplant and managing materials inventory.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Loading and offloading materials.
  • Data entry into warehouse management system (SAP).
  • Verifying that all daily inbound and outbound inventory numbers reflect SAP, daily inventoryBalancing and Reconciliation.
  • Ensure orders are picked adhering to FIFO process.
  • Move material from East Warehouse to plant via truck.
  • Maintain raw material storage area.
  • KPI's/breakdown of inventory accuracy/errors and provide resolutions to MaterialsManager.
  • Work closely with support staff such as Manufacturing, Planning, and others to alleviate andresolve all inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely completion of cycle counts; initiate Cycle Counts and execute throughpartnership with shift supervisor.
  • Submit completed cycle counts to Materials Manager for review in accordance with SOXguidelines; track and report trends/progress.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and errors for tracking and coaching; publish.
  • Coordinate all movements of raw materials in offsite warehouses.
  • Draft/create fitting standards to alleviate gaps.
  • Perform departmental audits to ensure that company best practices are being followed.Examples include that teammates are picking and putting away inventory according tocurrent footprint/layout.
  • Supports completion of Physical Inventory Annually.
  • Trained to backfill for the Material Coordinator.
  • Coordinate transfer of raw materials from offsite warehouse to main plant.
  • Works with Warehouse Manager to supply documentation needed to correct issues (BOL's,pictures, packing list, customs documents, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma or GED. College degree is preferred
Required Work Experience: At least 2 years experience working in warehouse, distribution center, logistics/transportation field

  • Must have CDL
  • Experience in customer service
  • Familiarity with logistics/TMS software
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and analytical skills and experience working with SAP desired
  • Ability to work well in teams and work with and train teammates.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Operate a Forklift
  • Must be able to climb a ladder to an elevation of six feet above the ground level
  • Be onyour feet up to 12 hours during the shift.
  • Experience Operating Yard Dog
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
