Job summary

AIRBORNE Tampa is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Tampa, FL to maintain on-hand inventory, perform cycle counts, and manage physical inventories for purchased and customer materials. You will verify counts, investigate variances, and support the Material Manager.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and is eligible for an airport SIDA badge, with basic computer skills including Excel and email. On-site role.

Responsibilities

• Verify, count, and record the physical lot counts; first line of defense in variances.
• Retrieve NIS paperwork from assigned turn-in locations.
• Research why parts were not in stock.
• Make necessary adjustments within the WINGS system.
• Routine inventory control procedures.
• Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts.
• Provide a shelf-life report for expired items.

The Inventory Control Clerk Is expected to maintain accurate on hand inventory, cycle counting and physical inventory of both purchased, and customer provided materials. Also, check expired product codes, and provides excellent customer service. Inventory control Clerk also support their managers, by helping identify discrepancies and coming up with solutions to problems. Duties will be assigned by the Material Manager.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A Valid Driver’s License
• Must qualify for airport SIDA badge
• General Computer Skills
• Email and Excel

Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:

• The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for verifying, counting, and recording of the physical lot counts. The ICC shall be the “first line of defense” in trouble shooting variances.
• Retrieve NIS paperwork from the assigned turn in locations.
• Research as to why the parts were not in stock.
• Make the necessary adjustments within the WINGS system.
• Routine Inventory Control procedures.
• Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts.
• Providing a Shelf-life report for expired items.

Additional Duties:

• Verify part unit of measure (UOM).
• Count and record blind count.
• Seal and re-label all parts that are staged in location.
• Record any additional comments on cycle count discrepancies and forward to your Supervisor/Manager for resolution.
