Job summary

Valence in Lawrence, MA is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain records, counts and inventory accuracy. You will count weekly and monthly, verify deliveries, restock shelves, and ensure proper storage of goods.

The role collaborates with Purchasing and team members, prepares purchase orders, monitors material quality, and acts as backup for the Purchasing Clerk. Prior inventory experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate or GED: Required
  • Experience: 2 plus years of experience in inventory control
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.
  • Responsible for accurately counting inventory on weekly/monthly basis.
  • Receives, unpacks, and confirms delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves. Responsible for the proper storage and handling of the received stock.
  • Prepare purchase orders and arrange delivery schedules. Monitor quality of purchased materials.
  • Coordinate with team members and other internal departments on inventory and communicates to Purchasing on special requests.
  • Make recommendations to manager on programs to improve the management of inventory when appropriate. Perform as backup for Purchasing Clerk for periods of time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
