Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate stock counts and processing. You will count inventory weekly and monthly, receive deliveries, restock shelves, label items, and monitor stock quality. You will prepare purchase orders and coordinate with Purchasing on special requests.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in inventory control and strong Excel skills. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with internal teams across departments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reports and documentation for inventory counts, audits, and adjustments.
• Count inventory on weekly and monthly basis.
• Receive, unpack, and confirm deliveries; restock items.
• Label shelves and ensure proper storage of stock.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate delivery schedules.
• Monitor quality of purchased materials.
• Coordinate with teams and Purchasing on special requests.
• Back up Purchasing Clerk during absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Maintain all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.

Responsible for accurately counting inventory on weekly/monthly basis.

Receives, unpacks, and confirms delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves. Responsible for the proper storage and handling of the received stock.

Prepare purchase orders and arrange delivery schedules. Monitor quality of purchased materials.

Coordinate with team members and other internal departments on inventory and communicates to Purchasing on special requests.

Make recommendations to manager on programs to improve the management of inventory when appropriate.Perform as backup for Purchasing Clerk for periods of time.

Other duties as assigned.
