Job summary

Valence is seeking an inventory control professional to maintain reports, count inventory, and manage stock in a timely and accurate manner. You will handle receiving, labeling, and shelving while coordinating with Purchasing on orders and deliveries.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in inventory control, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This role includes benefits and on-site work within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain all necessary reports and documentation for accurate inventory counts and audits.
• Count inventory on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Receive, unpack, and stock items; ensure proper storage and handling.
• Prepare purchase orders and arrange delivery schedules; monitor quality of purchased materials.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments on inventory; communicate with Purchasing on special requests.
• Make recommendations to improve inventory management; serve as backup for Purchasing Clerk.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Maintain all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.

Responsible for accurately counting inventory on weekly/monthly basis.

Receives, unpacks, and confirms delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves. Responsible for the proper storage and handling of the received stock.

Prepare purchase orders and arrange delivery schedules. Monitor quality of purchased materials.

Coordinate with team members and other internal departments on inventory and communicates to Purchasing on special requests.

Make recommendations to manager on programs to improve the management of inventory when appropriate. Perform as backup for Purchasing Clerk for periods of time.

Other duties as assigned.
