Job summary

Watchfire Signs, LLC. is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to maintain inventory accuracy across warehouse operations and ERP transactions. This role supports cycle counting, transaction reviews, shipment coordination, and production scheduling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position is onsite, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime. Requires a high school diploma and experience with ERP systems; forklift certification preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts and audits to maintain accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate variances and coordinate with teams to resolve root causes.
  • Maintain ERP system integrity with accurate transaction processing.
  • Review transactions for completeness and correct errors.
  • Monitor inventory movements and document receipts, transfers, and shipments.
  • Obtain LTL freight quotes and compare shipping options.
  • Schedule LTL shipments with approved carriers and prepare shipping docs.
  • Process and release customer orders in the ERP system.
  • Release work orders to production and print kitting lists.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production to ensure materials are available.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse tasks.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks if trained.
  • Support continuous improvement for inventory accuracy and material flow.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.

Summary

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity across warehouse and ERP system transactions. This position supports material management operations through cycle counting, inventory transaction review, shipment coordination, work order release, and warehouse support activities.

The Inventory Control Clerk works closely with Materials, Production, Procurement, and Shipping personnel to ensure inventory records are accurate and materials move efficiently through the operation. This is an hourly position reporting to the Materials Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate inventory variances and work with appropriate departments to resolve root causes.
  • Maintain inventory integrity within the ERP system through accurate and timely transaction processing.
  • Review inventory transactions for completeness and accuracy, correcting errors as required.
  • Monitor inventory movements and ensure proper documentation of receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Obtain LTL freight quotes and compare shipping options to support cost-effective transportation decisions.
  • Schedule LTL shipments with approved carriers and coordinate required shipping documentation.
  • Process and release customer orders as shipped within the ERP system.
  • Release work orders to production and print kitting lists to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production personnel to ensure materials are available to support production requirements.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse activities as needed.
  • Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, if trained and authorized.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Work onsite Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work as business needs require.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

Required Education and Licensing

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of inventory control, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience working within an ERP system preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
