Job summary

UNFI in the United States is seeking an Inventory Control teammate responsible for tracking inventory across distribution centers, maintaining accurate records, researching discrepancies, and ensuring correct product location within the warehouse.

You will monitor product velocity, conduct cycle counts, investigate mis-slots and damages, process vendor returns, and help manage expiration dates while following HACCP and SQF policies.

Qualifications

• Understanding of safety guidelines and HACCP/SQF concepts.
• Knowledge of RF systems and warehouse paperwork.
• Ability to research inventory discrepancies and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Monitors product velocity and tracks lost sales and in-house damages.
• Researches inventory adjustments and maintains high service levels.
• Initiates date checks and periodic cycle counts.
• Researches mis-slots and quality issues, verifies pick slots.
• Processes return to vendor requests.
• Tracks expiration dates and salvaged product.
• Alerts management of potential safety problems.
