Job summary

Premium Guard Inc is hiring an Inventory Control Associate for our Weirton, WV location. The role oversees inventory levels, performs cycle counts, and reports discrepancies to leadership. Candidates should be capable of operating warehouse equipment and using handheld scanners, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

The position is a daytime shift, with 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM hours, Monday through Friday, and overtime may be available. A high school diploma and basic MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Certification or ability to be certified in mobile equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintain inventory levels.
• Performs cycle counts and records results.
• Reporting discrepancies to Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Investigate causes for discrepancies.
• Follow safety guidelines of the Inventory Control department and general warehouse standards.
• Operate mobile equipment per safety guidelines and requirements.
• Use of handheld scanners, tablets, and computers.
• Experience operating Cherry Picker.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Recommend possible countermeasures for root cause of discrepancies.

We are seeking a true team player with the ability to prioritize and undertake individual or team projects to resolve problems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintain inventory levels.
• Performs cycle counts which includes accurate counting of product in forms of individual, carton, or pallet quantities and recording results.
• Reporting of any discrepancies (shortage/overage) to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Investigate causes for any discrepancies
• Follow safety guidelines of the Inventory Control department and general warehouse standards
• Operate mobile equipment per safety guidelines and requirements
• Use of electronic devices such as handheld scanners, tablets, and computers
• Experience operating Cherry Picker
• Other duties as assigned
• Recommend possible countermeasures for root cause of discrepancies

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Certification or ability to be certified in mobile equipment (fork-truck, stand up fork-truck, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications.
• Attention to detail of alpha and numerical data; strong math skills
• Time management and ability to work independently
• Ability to organize resources and establish priorities to support operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track operations and provide reports on key performance indicators.
• Ability to work various shifts, holidays or weekends when necessary.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk/stand in a warehouse environment for extended periods of timeand operate various powered industrial equipment.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• One to three years of previous warehouse experience preferred

This a DAY SHIFT position. Rate is $19.00/hour. Monday - Friday 7am-330pm. Overtime available.
