Job summary

Pet Food Experts in Bartlett, IL is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to maintain precise inventory records through cycle counts and quality-control verification. You will read work orders, review incoming product spreadsheets, slot items, set min/max pick amounts, and assist with quality issues while following GMP and safety procedures.

• Read, write and understand English, including identifying numbers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and follow up skills.
• Extraordinary attention to detail and good time-management.
• Independent problem solving skills.
• Work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team.
• Proficient computer skills; Google preferred.
• Experience with Infor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments.
• Review spreadsheets to locate new products arriving at the facility.
• Slot items and maintain correct min and max pick amounts based on product type and velocity.
• Assist departments with quality control issues including defects and out-of-date stock.
• Prepare product for distribution for close-out based on specific reports.
• Operate in compliance with safety procedures and GMP guidelines.
• Candidate must have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule.

What You'll Do:

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate reporting of inventory through cycle counts and quality control verification.

• Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments
• Review spreadsheets to locate new products that will be arriving in the facility
• Slot items and maintain correct minimum and maximum pick amounts based on the type and velocity of the product
• Assist departments with quality control issues including: out-of-date product, new minimum and maximum pick amounts and products affected by manufacturer defects
• Prepare product to be distributed for close-out based on specific reports
• Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations including GMP guidelines
• Candidate must have reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude
