Harris American Company in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Inventory Control and Shipping Clerk to maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts, and prepare outgoing shipments. You will keep organized stock and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong computer skills, experience with ERP/MRP software, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse. You will generate shipping reports and support stockroom activities while maintaining safety

The Inventory Control and Shipping Clerk is responsible for maintaining and monitoring inventory levels, performing cycle counts, and preparing outgoing shipments and shipping reports. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damage to inventory. Some data input and report generation is required. Works under the close direction of the Department Manager and Senior Management.

• Performs Cycle Counts and Monitors Inventory Levels
• Generates reports on Inventory levels as needed
• Manages the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management systems (ERP or MRP Software)
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in inventory, logistics, warehousing, and shipping / receiving
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a track record of maintaining inventory accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment

Physical Requirements

• Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift
• Strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
• Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator.
• Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds
