Job summary

Aptar is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst for our Cary, IL facility. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy through transaction analysis, variance investigations and corrective actions.

You will audit transactions and support cycle counts, with cross-functional collaboration across Planning, Production, Maintenance and Finance. Responsibilities include month-end close support, trend analysis, and ensuring ISO 9000 compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Degree or GED required.
• Minimum 2-3 years related experience in production, logistics, inventory control or materials management.
• Data analysis and reporting experience required.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to identify and understand problems; proactive improvement mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor/audit inventory transactions to ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
• Investigate inventory variances to identify root causes and drive resolution.
• Perform trend analysis to identify recurring issues and drive corrective actions.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Monitor, analyze and reconcile inventory locations in the inventory management system (e.g., SAP).
• Assist with month-end and year-end closeout activities.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, Shipping, Customer Service, Finance and Master Data/Engineering to resolve inventory issues.
• Identify and stop non-conformances; correct inaccuracies.
• Support Production Order closing activities.
• Adhere to inventory control policies and ISO 9000 compliance.
• Review and revise policies to ensure compliance.
