Job summary

Wausau Supply Company is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to ensure inventory accuracy and drive improvements across our Taylor Entrance Systems facility. You will audit, count, and monitor stock levels, collaborating with Supply Chain and Production to optimize processes and reduce discrepancies.

Qualifications include 1–3 years in inventory control or related fields, a post-secondary degree or equivalent, and strong ERP/MS Office skills.

  • Strong computer and ERP skills.
  • Excellent communication with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inventory audits and cycle counts at the Taylor Entrance Systems facility.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels and product movement for accuracy.
  • Research root causes for inventory inaccuracies and implement improvement plans.
  • Identify obsolete, excess and damaged inventory with cross-department stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain and Production to review, implement improvements in inventory control processes & system changes.
  • Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings.
  • Consistently demonstrate and incorporate safety principles into daily activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain that support department and company mission.

What This Role Will Be Doing

The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for inventory accuracy and control throughout the facility. It is the responsibility of the Inventory Control Analyst to support inventory goals, initiatives and anticipate problems that could impact those goals. To be effective as the Inventory Control Analyst, the individual must be fluent with communication, eager to solve problems and implement solutions, engage freely with all departments and levels in the organizations, and maintain positive relations with all internal levels of the organization remain uncompromised.

Duties To Include, But Not Limited To
  • Performs inventory audits and cycle counts at the Taylor Entrance Systems facility
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels and product movement for accuracy.
  • Research and identify root causes for inventory inaccuracies. Designs, recommends, and implement process improvement plans.
  • Identify obsolete, excess and damaged inventory partnering with cross departmental stake holders who collaborate on end-of-life procedures and other inventory related decisions.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain and Production to review, monitor, and implement improvements in inventory control processes & system changes.
  • Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings.
  • Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety for self and others into daily activities.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission.
Inventory Control Analyst Demonstrates

Education / Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Procurement, Scheduling, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Post secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Computer skills – (MS Office, ERP, etc.)
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interface with related departments and senior leaders

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager- Door Systems
