Job summary

True Manufacturing in Missouri seeks an Inventory Analyst to analyze, reconcile, and report variances outside tolerances in the cycle count program. You will collaborate with plant management, supervision, material handling, and engineering to correct root causes of inaccuracies.

Essential duties include conducting daily cycle counts, researching variances, and preparing weekly variance reports while training colleagues and supporting accounts payable reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • CPIM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily cycle counts and location audits are conducted timely and approved.
  • Analyze variances outside tolerances defined for each item’s ABC class.
  • Determine root causes and perform correct system transactions to reconcile variances.
  • Prepare weekly cycle count and location audit variance reports.
  • Review daily inventory error reports and report discrepancies.
  • Assist material handling with cycle counts and location audits as needed.
  • Assist in training cycle counters, dock clerks, and cage clerks.
  • Assist Accounts Payable in reconciling vendor receipt discrepancies.
  • Review slow-moving/obsolete items for elevation to inventory leadership for recycling/scrap decisions.
  • Perform BPAO audits for production lines and subassembly areas.
  • Participate in yearly physical inventories if necessary (often December).
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams; maintain on-site presence.

Job description

The Inventory Analyst will analyze, research, reconcile, and report to Inventory Control management all resolved and unresolved inventory variances outside of accepted tolerances associated with any activities included in the cycle count program for OFallon. Facilitate with plant management, line supervision, material handling, engineering, and any other areas that impact inventory accuracy to assist in the correction of the root causes of inventory inaccuracies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the daily cycle count and location audits are conducted in a timely manner and approved.
  • Analyze and research the variances outside of the acceptable tolerances defined for the ABC classification of each item.
  • Make determinations on root causes of the errors and perform the correct system transactions in order to reconcile and resolve variances.
  • Prepare a weekly cycle count and location audit variance report summarizing all of the root cause, resolved variances, and the transactions made to correct.
  • Review all daily inventory error reports, research, reconcile, and report all errors.
  • Assist material handling with cycle counts and location audits when necessary.
  • Assist in the training and development of the cycle counters, dock clerks, and cage clerks.
  • Assist Accounts Payable in the reconciliation of vendor receipt discrepancies.
  • Review slow moving and/or obsolete items found on cycle counts and/or audits for elevation to Inventory Coordinators and/or Inventory Control Leadership for recommendations on recycling and/or scrap of parts and/or raw materials.
  • Perform BPAO (Branch Plant Area Organization) audits for production lines and subassembly areas.
  • Participation in yearly physical inventories, if necessary, is mandatory; this could include weekend work (typically in December.)
  • Perform all other job duties assigned by Inventory Control Leadership.
  • The Inventory Control Analyst is an office-based role. Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required. Eligibility for up to one (1) remote workday per week may be permitted, subject to business needs and departmental guidelines.
  • Perform core job responsibilities through regular in-person collaboration, including participation in meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members and leadership in a shared work environment to support innovation and timely decision-making, problem-solving, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence to support and respond to day-to-day business needs, including attendance of scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration as needed to ensure alignment on department and company priorities.
  • Meet regularly with manager in-person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and ongoing professional development.

The hours for this position are 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
