Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking an Inventory Clerk in Shippensburg to ensure the inventory in the WMS matches the physical stock in the facility. You will utilize various inventory control systems and work under the inventory control manager to maintain accurate counts.

The role offers a $21.00 hourly wage plus a $1.00 shift differential, with a Friday–Sunday 6:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule and a benefits package including PPOs, 401(k), and referral programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Read, write, understand and speak English.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
• Must have knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications.
• Must use handheld computers / scanners.
• Operate various material handling equipment; occasionally moving product in warehouse.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure system count matches physical inventory and resolve discrepancies at location and pallet level.
• Ensure proper rotation of product and analyze rotation reports.
• Accurately receive inventory with checkers and audit inbound receipts.
• Data setup and validation in WMS and other applications; audit existing data for inaccuracies.
• Manage unsalable inventory to resolution.
• Ensure signage is accurately located in distribution center.
• Document and train inventory procedures with inventory management; assist in daily/weekly reports.
• Assist in development and implementation of special projects and tasks.
• All other tasks as assigned.

Employees under the direction of the inventory control manager will assist in keeping an accurate inventory ensuring the system inventory in the WMS matches the physical inventory stored at the facility. This requires individuals to utilize various inventory control systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring system count matches physical inventory

  • Update WMS to match physical through various methods
  • Research and document root cause
• Ensuring proper rotation of product
