Job summary

Foster Farms in Porterville, CA is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to maintain CMMS data, verify shipments in SAP, and keep PM BOMs up to date while supporting scheduled maintenance activities.

You will handle receiving, stock, and issuance of inventory, perform cycle counts, operate forklifts, and ensure accurate records, safety compliance, and timely project support.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in inventory control, preferably in a maintenance environment.
• 1–2 years of extensive computer experience required.
• Purchasing knowledge highly beneficial.
• Good phone, communication, and organizational skills.
• Read, write legibly, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work off a ladder.
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License and provide proof of automobile insurance.
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update CMMS with accurate data entry.
• Upload and verify shipments and production loads in SAP.
• Establish, maintain, and update PM Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Generate maintenance, inventory, and PM planning reports.
• Receive, inspect, stock, and issue inventory items.
• Research, source, and expedite parts and materials for maintenance and operations.
• Create purchase requisitions and coordinate repair part shipments.
• Verify incoming inventory against POs, invoices, and packing slips.
• Label inventory items according to storeroom standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding non-stock items.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Unload incoming deliveries and maintain storeroom.
• Maintain storeroom, warehouse, and receiving areas to a clean, organized, safe state.
• Assist maintenance supervisors and planners with inventory and procurement projects.
• Serve as backup to Inventory Clerk II during absences.

Pay Rate:

$16.90 - $19.65

Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm-11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am

Job Description:

• Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including accurate data entry of work orders, labor hours, and parts usage.
• Upload and verify completed shipments and production loads, ensuring accurate transactions within SAP.
• Establish, maintain, and update Preventive Maintenance (PM) Bills of Material (BOMs) to support scheduled maintenance activities.
• Generate maintenance, inventory, and preventive maintenance planning reports.
• Receive, inspect, stock, and issue inventory items in accordance with established procedures.
• Research, source, and expedite parts and materials to support maintenance and operational requirements.
• Create purchase requisitions and coordinate repair part shipments to vendors, including obtaining return authorizations and preparing materials for shipment.
• Verify incoming inventory against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Label and identify inventory items according to established storeroom standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding the receipt and availability of non-stock and special-order items.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy and asset control.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Unload incoming deliveries and freight as required.
• Maintain the storeroom, warehouse, and receiving areas in a clean, organized, safe, and audit-ready condition.
• Perform routine warehouse activities, including stocking, staging, issuing, inventory organization, and housekeeping.
• Assist maintenance supervisors, planners, and lead personnel with inventory, purchasing, and maintenance-related projects.
• Serve as a backup to the Inventory Clerk II and provide support during absences, vacations, and peak workload periods.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, warehouse procedures, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• One (1) - two (2) years experience in inventory control, preferably in a maintenance environment.
• One (1) - two (2) years of extensive computer experience required.
• Purchasing knowledge highly beneficial.
• Possess good phone, communication, and organizational skills.
• Possess basic mechanical knowledge.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work off a ladder.
• Must possess a valid California Drivers License and provide proof of automobile insurance.
