Job summary

Creative Lumens Lighting in Troy, MI seeks a full-time Material Handler to pull and kit materials for production, unbox and stock PCB panels, and record binning data. You will print job travelers, learn PLEX, and assist with inventory and receiving tasks.

This role requires lifting 50–60 lbs, reliability, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Typical hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k) options, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Full-time schedule Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm.
• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs.
• Reliability is critical.
• 1-2 years inventory control experience preferred.
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer literacy.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Excellent communication, honesty, and dependability.
• Problem-solving knack preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull/kitting required materials for customer orders per schedule.
• Unboxing cartons of PCB panels; stock and handle heavy cartons.
• Record LED binning information for each job.
• Print/create the job traveler paperwork packet.
• Learn and use company software - PLEX.
• Process return of material to inventory; operate X-Ray Reel Counter.
• Perform cycle counts regularly.
• Assist in receiving process where needed.
• Learn to receive material as backup to Supervisor.
• Learn internal part numbers and inventory locations.
• Assist with overall production process as requested.
• Operate a pallet jack and straddle/pallet stacker lift.

Job description

• Pulling/Kitting the required material for customer orders according to the production schedule, while ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Unboxing cartons of bare PCB panels and stocking - Average delivery of PCB is 10-30 cartons weighing 20-60 lbs. Regular lifting is required throughout the day.
• Learn how to record the LED binning information for each job.
• Printing/creating the "job traveler" paperwork packet.
• Learn how to use and navigate through our company software - PLEX.
• Processing the return of material to inventory while operating the Scienscope X-Ray Reel Counter machine.
• Performing cycle counts regularly.
• Assisting where needed in our receiving process.
• Learning how to receive material as a back up to the Supervisor.
• Learn and understand internal part numbers and inventory locations over time.
• Assisting where needed with the overall production process upon request.
• Operate a pallet jack and straddle/pallet stacker lift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
