Job summary

Teledyne Marine seeks an Inventory/Materials Handler to prepare shop orders for production and maintain accurate stock levels. You will follow SOPs, support receiving, and participate in physical inventories.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing inventory, proficiency with ERP/MS Office, and strong communication with internal customers in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing inventory experience.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Excellent communication with internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Kitting of shop orders to production floor in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow SOP guidelines and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Stockroom kitting and cycle counting participation.
  • Perform annual physical inventory and material transactions research.
  • Maintain inventory locations and ensure accuracy across systems.
  • Support Receiving, Return to Stock and de-kit material actions.
  • Assist with Change Orders and material purge processes.
  • Transport material between production areas and support shipping.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all company policies.
  • Respond to service window requests with courteous, professional service.

Job Summary
  • Kitting of shop orders to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner
  • Following all guidelines spelled out in the SOP
  • Stockroom Kitting
  • Performing Cycle Counts and being a key participant in the annual Physical Inventory
  • Maintain accuracy of picking and shop order kitting activities
  • Support Receiving, Return to Stock and de-kit material actions
  • Maintain inventory material locations
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory through various transactions in accordance with procedures
  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain a positive attitude
  • Provide courteous, professional service to internal customers when responding to service requests at the service window
  • Maintain security of inventory area and department
  • Support Change Orders and Material Purge processes
  • Support Cycle Counting
  • Conduct historical research and interpretation of material transactions
  • Transport material between production areas
  • Support shipping activities
  • Comply with and assist in the enforcement of all company safety policies

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous Manufacturing/Inventory experience desired
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work with changing demands in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • 1-2 years Manufacturing inventory experience
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Computer Experience required
  • Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
