Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our production and logistics team in Setauket, NY. The role centers on accurate picking, kit assembly, and real-time inventory tracking using RF scanners and ERP/WMS systems.

The successful candidate will perform quality checks, monitor stock levels, and support smooth material flow through production lines. This is a second-shift, on-site position with a $52k-$55k annual salary and a High School education requirement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of inventory/warehouse experience.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and basic ERP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and pick lists to pull parts and materials.
• Assemble and package parts into kits for assembly or delivery.
• Scan SKUs and track inventory movements using RF scanners.
• Inspect components for quality and verify quantities against orders.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with cycle counts.
• Deliver finished kits to production areas or staging zones.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and operate pallet jacks when needed.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerkto join our production and logistics team.

salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year

shift: Second

work hours: 2:30 PM - 11 AM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Order Processing & Picking: Read work orders, pick lists, or digital tickets to pull precise parts, raw materials, or components from warehouse inventory.
• Kit Assembly & Packaging: Group, sort, and package individual parts into designated kits, bags, or custom boxes ready for the assembly line or direct customer delivery.
• Barcode & System Tracking: Use hand-held RF scanners and barcode software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or custom WMS) to scan item SKUs, track inventory movements, and update kit completion status in real-time.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect components for physical damage or defects, verify part quantities against order specifications, and ensure accuracy before staging.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels in kitting stations, report missing or depleted inventory, and participate in regular cycle counts.
• Line Replenishment & Staging: Deliver completed kits directly to designated production cells, assembly lines, or staging areas to keep manufacturing moving without delay.
• Safety & Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation (following 5S / Lean manufacturing principles) and safely operate warehouse material-handling equipment like pallet jacks or cart pullers.
