ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Assists with data entry Food & Beverage inventory and vending needs.
- Works closely with the Inventory Control supervisor, to maintain inventory tracking systems and procedures.
- Works to ensure all established inventory control procedures are being adhered to on a consistent basis.
- Physically and electronically receives products into the inventory warehouses.
- Ensures that all inter-departmental transfers of product are handled accurately and that all authorization and documentation is received prior to any product leaving the warehouse(s).
- Participates in the completion and reconciling cycle counts to verify computerized perpetual inventory.
- Completes vending machine fills and inventory reconciliation for multiple locations.
- Verifies products received by comparing delivery tickets against purchase orders generated by the inventory control software.
- Assists with the completion of inventory paperwork including variance reporting and reasoning.
- Helps to manage and organize the inventory warehouses and paperwork to ensure efficiency of storage and accessibility following Lean Six Sigma practices.
- Verifies invoice pricing with agreed vendor pricing
- Ensures product purchases are from the approved sources
- Ensures proper food storage as recommended by the health department.
- Must be available on a flexible basis during the pre-season and post-season needs to complete required tasks and on a fairly set schedule during the operating season.
- Will be required to attend a variety of meetings and conduct meetings for the department staff.
- Ensures proper food handling and preparation procedures rules and regulations as set forth by the State of Illinois and the Winnebago County Health Dept.
- Assists with deep cleaning and kitchen set-up including grease filtering for concessions equipment.
- Completes data entry and physical counting of products with accuracy.
- Understands and has the ability to follow and implement the Rockford Park District's Emergency Response Plan
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
High School Degree, Some college coursework preferred. At least 1 year of experience in inventory, data entry, food service, or similar preferred. At least 2 years of management/leadership experience. Minimum of 18 years old.

- Available to work Monday-Friday 7:30am-1:00pm (additional needs may occasional occur)
- Must be available to work up to 25+ hours per week (weather permitting)
- Must be available to work early morning and occasional weekends and evenings
- Safe food handling certification required (may be attained after hiring)
- Ability to provide customers with expert care, sensitive consideration, and efficient service
- Must have reliable transportation, work will fluctuate between various facilities throughout the Park District.
