Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supports activities across multiple warehouse and inventory control disciplines within Supply Chain and Production processes.
  • Primarily responsible for manual and automated inventory control actions.
  • Performs and monitors administrative processes of inventory control.
  • Assist with tagging and inventory control for company owned Capital property and Customer/Government property.
  • Analyzes reports and records, identifies inefficiencies, and recommends corrective actions.
  • Load/unload materials, count/record movements in ERP system.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, yearly inventory audits.
  • Inspect property and stock conditions; manage shelf-life inspections.

The Opportunity:

Currently seeking an Inventory Clerk. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team, responsible for supporting daily Supply Chain functions. This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, Florida office.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports and assists activities within multiple warehouse and inventory control disciplines across the Supply Chain and Production processes
  • Primarily responsible for manual and automated inventory control actions.
  • Performs and monitors administrative (and procedural application) of inventory control
  • Assist with tagging and inventory control for company owned Capital property and Customer/Government property
  • Computes and accumulates data for use in analysis. Analyzes reports and records activities, reports inefficiencies to supervisors and recommends corrective actions to improve operations.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
  • Support / complete monthly, quarterly, yearly inventory audits
  • Inspects and identifies property. Inspects conditions of property received.
  • Performs shelf-life inspections of stock.
  • Prepares statements of facts surrounding property loss, damage, or destruction through causes other than fair wear and tear.
  • Able to spend considerable time standing, bending, and walking to and from the warehouse and other areas / buildings
  • Holds the ability to handle items (45 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g., pallet jacks, height adjustable carts, etc.), use rolling ladder going up to 12 feet, and reach for items on shelves, and may operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Qualifications:
  • US citizenship due to contract requirements and nature of work
  • Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance, due to the nature of work and contract requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment supporting the inventory process
  • Valid Driver’s License required
Desired:
  • Forklift/reach truck experience
  • 5 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing process for a defense contractor
  • Active TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Experience using Costpoint
  • Class A CDL
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,400 - $68,200
