Job summary

Meijer is seeking individuals for a full-time position focused on accurate physical inventory counts in our retail units. Employees will work independently to count merchandise, ensuring reliable inventory management. Strong communication and confidentiality skills are essential.

This role requires standing and walking for most of the time and the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. We offer scheduling flexibility and a 4-day work week, ensuring most Fridays, nights, weekends, and major holidays off.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of general business math and bookkeeping is necessary.
• At least six months to one year of job training and experience required.
• Strong mental and visual abilities are essential for performing counts.
• Physical ability to stand and walk 95% of the time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects between 10 and 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is important.

Responsibilities

• Independently count merchandise in stores, scan UPCs, and enter counts.
• Deliver exceptional service using effective communication skills.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in job duties.
• Exhibit good judgment while handling confidential information.
• Participate in auditing projects as opportunities arise.
• Perform other related duties as required.
