WAI Global is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Clerk or similar role to manage end-to-end inventory, including requisitioning, storage, and control in a warehouse setting. The position emphasizes accurate data entry, discrepancy resolution, and adherence to safety standards.

The role involves daily cycle counts, labeling and organizing stock, and collaborating with teammates to improve location accuracy and overall productivity while following 5S and safety guidelines.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/Outlook; ERP experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Receives returned material stock and assesses suitability for restocking through disassembly and inspection.
• Records material issues, returns, and receipts accurately using a computer terminal.
• Conducts weekly cycle counts based on computer-monitored listings.
• Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas; implements labeling system.
• Researches and documents inventory discrepancies and proposes solutions.
• Collaborates to implement process improvements for accuracy and productivity.
• Expedites daily flow of special order SKUs and ensures timely shipping.
• Troubleshoots issues related to special orders from receipt onward.
• Ensures units of measure match for received and outgoing items.
• Participates in a team environment and adheres to safety protocols and 5S.

Description

Position Summary

The individual in this role is accountable for the complete life cycle of inventory, which includes requisitioning and storing. They are also responsible for related areas such as inventory control, discrepancy resolution, and inventory inspection in accordance with company regulations and safety standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work Schedule - Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm


• Receives returned material stock and assesses its suitability for restocking through disassembly, inspection, and evaluation.


• Utilizes a computer terminal to accurately record and account for material issues, returns, and receipts, including new materials and associated back orders. Adheres to strict accounting procedures.


• Conducts weekly cycle counts of inventory materials based on computer-monitored suggested re-order listings.


• Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory areas to facilitate efficient material storage and handling. Implements and maintains a labeling system for each stock item. Manually stocks inventory shelving with received or returned stock items.


• Conducts thorough research and documents inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and propose potential solutions.


• Collaborates with key personnel to implement process improvements that enhance location accuracy and overall productivity levels.


• Expedites the daily flow of all special order SKUs, including labeling, locating, and ensuring timely shipping.


• Troubleshoots and resolves any issues related to special orders from the time of receipt.


• Ensures that the unit of measure for received items matches the unit of measure for outgoing items.


• Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.


• Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.


• Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.


• Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

• Ability to work Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm


• Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 1 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook, ERP Systems preferred


• Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.


• Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.


• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


• Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.


• Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


• Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a warehouse setting. In the warehouse, standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, cameras, and material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Forklift, Order Picker, Pallet Jack, etc.) are used.

• Standing Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position


• Walking, Reaching and Handling Must be able to frequently move about inside the warehouse to access product and machinery, etc. Must be able to stand and walk 60% of time, lift up to 40 lbs. normal, up to 70 lbs. less than 10% of time.


• Seeing Frequently reads various documents and operates computer and other office tools/databases/equipment.


• Talking and Hearing Frequently communicates with colleagues, co-workers, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


• Manual Dexterity Frequently operates a computer and warehouse machinery.
