The role requires attention to detail, basic computer literacy, reliable transportation, and willingness to work Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed. The position pays $19.00 per hour in Joliet, IL.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, inventory, receiving, or shipping experience preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners, handheld scanners, or warehouse computer systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count and verify merchandise.
• Basic reading, writing, and computer literacy skills required.
• Ability to record and document inventory information accurately.
• Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.
• Willingness to work overtime or flexible schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical inventory counts and cycle counts accurately.
• Verify product quantities, item numbers, locations, and descriptions.
• Use handheld scanners, RF scanners, PDA systems, or computer systems to update inventory records.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged merchandise.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to leads or supervisors.
• Ensure merchandise is properly labeled and stored in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
• Organize and maintain inventory areas to ensure products are easy to locate and access.
• Follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by your immediate supervisor or manager.
