Job summary

Haydon-Corporation in Ohio is seeking an Inventory Associate for first shift 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, Monday–Friday. You will load/unload shipments, weigh and stage coils, verify bills, and ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing loads.

This role focuses on 5S discipline, quality checks before shipping, forklift operation, data entry, and collaboration with the team. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required; forklift certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years forklift experience working in Shipping & Receiving.
  • Forklift certification through Haydon or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload shipments and deliveries of coils, strut, pallets, etc.
  • Weigh, mark, and store coils properly.
  • Stage raw materials using a forklift to the mill and welding machines.
  • Verify delivery bills and verify product received.
  • Ensure labels and paperwork are accurate for incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Confirm accuracy and quality of all loads being shipped or received.
  • Pick and pack items, ensuring products are safe and undamaged.
  • Perform quality checks and audits prior to shipment to customers.
  • Prepare shipping documentation by weight, piece count, and freight classification.
  • Prepare & stage shipments as needed (re-bundling, plastic wrap, labeling).
  • Identify and address compliance issues such as overages, shortages, damaged products, packaging issues and incorrect parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of area per 5S principles.

Associate must be able to work overtime as needed and mustalso be able to occasionally work on the weekends as necessary.
