Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mat Inventory Specialist for Matting Solutions to manage and reconcile inventory data across the accounting system. You will update live inventory numbers, support revenue recognition in the billing cycle, and assist with system integration and asset lifecycle activities.

This role reports to the Supervisor of Mat Inventory and requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; intermediate computer skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer service driven team environment.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures and technical references is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and organized with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date inventory data for the entire organization, including data entry of inventory shipping information into the inventory system.
• Research, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies daily with follow-up investigation to determine root causes.
• Constantly look for ways to improve processes and increase inventory control and accuracy.
• Perform other special projects as directed by department manager and/or upper management.
• Provide leadership team with inventory reporting using Excel for operational and sales utilization.
• Assist with new system integration, implementation, and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
