The role partners with Finance, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing to improve cycle counts, reporting, and transaction control, while maintaining GMP-compliant records and supporting audits.

Qualifikationen

Objectives/Purpose Of Job

The Inventory Analyst II is responsible for independently monitoring, analyzing, and improving inventory accuracy across warehouses and manufacturing operations. The position leads complex inventory investigations, identifies systemic root causes, develops corrective and preventive actions, maintains inventory-control reporting, and partners cross-functionally to improve transaction accuracy, ERP system integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.

Key Activities/Responsibilities
  • Lead complex investigations of inventory discrepancies, transaction errors, and lot, location, status, or system differences; determine root cause, business impact, required corrections, and preventive actions.
  • Analyze receipts, issues, transfers, returns, adjustments, manufacturing consumption, cycle counts, and related ERP activity to distinguish isolated errors from recurring processes, training, master-data, procedural, or system-control failures.
  • Process and reconcile approved inventory adjustments in ERP LX with accurate reason codes, required approvals, and complete supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate assigned cycle-count and physical-inventory activities, including count generation, recounts, variance reconciliation, cut-off controls, reporting, record retention, and follow-up corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain inventory-control reports, dashboards, and metrics for inventory accuracy, count completion, adjustment activity, open discrepancies, repeat variances, and transaction-error trends.
  • Use Excel and approved analytical tools to reconcile large data sets, identify exceptions and trends, and present risks and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Serve as a technical resource for inventory transactions and controls; reconcile information across connected systems and investigate item, lot, location, warehouse, unit-of-measure, interface, timing, or material-status differences.
  • Support inventory-related system enhancements, reports, interfaces, process changes, standardized analytical methods, transaction guidance, and reference materials.
  • Perform inventory-control activities in compliance with GMP requirements, approved procedures, data-integrity expectations, quality requirements, and financial controls; maintain accurate, complete, traceable, contemporaneous, and audit-ready records.
  • Support internal, external, financial, and regulatory audits and participate in applicable non-conformance, deviation, CAPA, SOP, work-instruction, and training activities.
  • Lead or support cross-functional inventory-accuracy, transaction-control, reporting, and reconciliation improvements; maintain action plans and verify that corrective actions produce sustained results.
  • Provide inventory-control training and technical guidance to transaction users and support projects involving new products, warehouse layouts, material flows, or system implementations.
Qualifications/Training

Education: HS diploma/GED required

Forklift certification and working knowledge of warehouse material-handling equipment—including pallet jacks, palletizers, sit-down forklifts, and high-rack turret trucks—preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years of experience operating powered industrial equipment required; experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment preferred.

Preferred Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or warehouse management systems, preferably ERP LX and PeopleSoft.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, reconcile inventory transactions, identify trends and root causes, and develop accurate, audit-ready reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across Warehouse, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting cycle counts, inventory investigations, process improvements, and system or reporting enhancements in a regulated manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
