Job summary

Kimber Mfg., Inc. is seeking an Inventory Analyst to improve and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and root-cause analysis. The role covers multiple warehouses and requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Control and maintain Inventory accuracy in Finish Goods, Component, and Offsite Warehouses.
  • Plan, conduct, record, and track daily cycle count activity.
  • Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies.
  • Assist to establish and control minimum and maximum Inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with QC nonconforming processes for accountability of parts.
  • Provide backup to warehouse/shipping personnel.
  • Provide leadership to cycle counters.
  • Work on special projects as required.

Job description

The Inventory Analyst position is responsible for improving and then maintaining the accuracy of the inventory records through continuous cycle counts, root cause analysis of discrepancies and implementing process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Control and maintain Inventory accuracy in the following areas:
  • Finish Goods Warehouse
  • Component Warehouse
  • Component Offsite Warehouse
  • Pistol Assembly / Rifle Assembly
  • Ensure inventory data integrity for all areas and maintain the material inventory score card
  • Perform continuous analysis of Inventory activity to ensure meeting Management guidelines
  • Plan, conduct, record, and track results of daily cycle count activity
  • Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies
  • Correct incomplete transactions and resolve root cause
  • Assist to establish and control minimum and maximum Inventory levels
  • Monitor transfers of materials within Kimber and between branches
  • Implement change orders as required on material in inventory
  • Coordinate with QC nonconforming processes to ensure accurate accountability of parts to scrapped, routed for rework, returned to production for "use as is" or returned to suppliers.
  • Manage separation of usable, excess, and obsolete material in inventory
  • Provide backup to warehouse / shipping personnel when required.
  • Provide support during Serialized inventory and End of Year counts
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cycle counters to accomplish inventory management activities
  • Work on special projects as required
  • All other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
  • HS Diploma or higher
  • Familiar with manufacturing environment
PREFERRED
  • Visual software experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience as Inventory Analyst
  • External/Internal Audit experience
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
