Job summary

NTN Bearing Corporation, located in Schaumburg, IL, is seeking a detail oriented Inventory Analyst to join our Operations team. You will handle ad-hoc analytical projects, manage inventory flow, support demand planning, and oversee replenishment to achieve best-in-class fill rates while controlling costs.

Qualified candidates have 1–3 years in inventory planning or procurement operations, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP or JD Edwards, plus CRM experience like

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, General Management, or Industrial Engineering desirable.
• 1–3 years of experience in Inventory Planning, Logistics, Customer Service or Procurement Operations preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, conditional formatting, IF statements).
• Experience with ERP systems SAP or JD Edwards and Salesforce CRM is desirable.

Job Description

• Ad-hoc analytical projects and process creation
• Negotiate production with plant production control personnel, manage plant purchases to budget
• Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
• Reviews and executes planned purchases as scheduled in order to ensure effective flow of inventory
• Will perform Inventory management analysis necessary to control inventory balances that will meet customer demand without unnecessary carrying cost
• Support the demand planning process through forecast/alert review and system updates
• Monitor back orders and take appropriate action to minimize recurrence
• Responsible for recurring replenishment to maintain inventory levels that promote best in class fill rates, including scheduling work orders, transfers and inventory re-works

Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to deliver results and achieve goals
• Solid understanding of inventory management techniques and systems
• Must effectively interact with various internal customers, interpersonal skills are critical
• Proficiency using and pulling information from an ERP such as SAP or JD Edwards preferred
• Proficiency using CRM system such as Sales Force
• Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to facilitate decision-making
• Knowledge and understanding of Procurement Operations
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, General Management, or Industrial Engineering desirable
• 1-3 Years previous experience in Inventory Planning, Logistics, Customer Service or Procurement Operations preferred
• Intermediate Excel abilities are required, including V-lookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, IF statements, charts & graph creation

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At NTN, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. $50K - $65K
