Job summary

Our client in Puerto Rico is seeking an Inventory Analyst to manage inventory documentation, shipments, and cost accounting. You will oversee invoicing, tax payments, and audits while collaborating with Purchasing to ensure accurate PO recording and inventory reconciliation.

Ideal candidates have a BA in Accounting/Finance, 2+ years of related experience, and strong English/Spanish communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is required and a fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and import processes.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and cost accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English (intermediate level).
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipment releases and submit required documentation to freight carriers.
  • Process invoice payments once they have been reviewed and approved.
  • Handle Sales and Use Tax (SUT) payments related to imports and shipment declarations.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to ensure purchase orders are accurately recorded and accounted for.
  • Reconcile inventory and freight invoices against inventory received in the warehouse and verify proper accounting treatment.
  • Conduct periodic audits of cycle-counted, damaged, and obsolete inventory.
  • Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes, quality, and execution efficiency.
  • Comply with the professional development plan established as part of the performance evaluation process.

The company is currently seeking an Inventory Analyst.

Position Summary

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing and preparing the documentation required to ensure the proper shipment, costing, and recording of acquired inventory and parts. This role oversees shipment processing, invoice management, inventory reconciliation, and compliance with tax regulations. The Inventory Analyst is also responsible for conducting audits to ensure the accuracy of accounting records and adherence to company-established standards and procedures.
