Job summary

Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking an Allocation professional to drive purchase order allocations and replenishment, ensuring optimal in-stock levels across departments. You will analyze performance data with BI tools and Excel, presenting strategies to leadership and collaborating with Buying, Planning, and Store teams.

The role requires 2+ years in retail allocation or merchandising, a Bachelor's degree, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2+ years in retail allocation, planning, or merchandising.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships across Buying, Planning, and Store teams.
• Strong analytical skills with retail math concepts (APS, Weeks of Supply).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with Excel and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute initial purchase order allocations and manage replenishment to ensure timely, accurate inventory flow and strong in-stock performance for assigned departments or categories.
• Monitor and optimize store inventory levels to achieve sales, service, and in-stock goals.
• Maintain and optimize replenishment programs, including min/max levels, to support store demand.
• Identify opportunities to maximize sales through improved allocation and inventory balancing across stores.
• Analyze business performance and develop actionable insights using BI tools and Excel.
• Track inbound purchase orders, communicate risks, and partner cross-functionally to mitigate issues.
• Prepare and present allocation strategies using key retail metrics (APS, Weeks of Supply).
• Partner with Buying, Planning, and Store teams on assortment needs and product flow.
• Participate in business reviews and cross-functional meetings to drive decisions.
