Job summary

Van Horn Ford Sheboygan is seeking an Inventory Acquisition Specialist to purchase inventory for resale through non-auction channels. The role involves contacting service customers, appraising vehicles, and coordinating with service and sales teams to maximize trade opportunities.

This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package, paid training with a guaranteed commission plan for the first 60 days, and growth in a collaborative team environment. 5-day workweek.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong people and communication skills.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.
• Automotive experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact service customers the day prior to appointment via call/text/email.
• Appraise vehicles in the quick lube and backshop using appraisal software.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors on known issues and reconditioning needs.
• Provide customer with value of their vehicle.
• If customer is interested in trading vehicle, coordinate with Sales Manager.
• Follow up with previous day’s appraisals.
• Facilitate purchase paperwork.
• Stock in units purchased into Vauto and submit paperwork to corporate office.
• Explore other avenues to purchase inventory (Facebook, Craigslist, etc.).
