Job summary

TriSearch is partnering with a private equity-backed, multi-entity operation in the Houston area to hire an Accounting Manager who will bring structure, accuracy and discipline to a growing finance organization. This hands-on role owns the accounting, drives better processes and controls, and collaborates with senior leadership.

Reporting to the Controller, you will lead close activities, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and help scale the accounting team as acquisitions add complexity.

Qualifications

• CPA is required and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting is expected.
• Strong hands-on accounting foundation with solid GAAP knowledge.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing or other inventory-intensive environments.
• Inventory and cost accounting experience linked to supply chain and operations.
• Experience leading a month-end close and detailed reconciliations.
• Proven track record of improving accounting processes and controls.
• Experience in private equity-backed, acquisitive or transformational environments preferred.
• Confident, entrepreneurial, and willing to own problems and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of the monthly close, including GL, reconciliations, journal entries and account analysis.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and balance sheet integrity.
• Apply strong inventory and cost accounting in an inventory-heavy environment.
• Identify gaps, improve processes and controls for efficiency and consistency.
• Investigate root causes and propose solutions rather than reporting problems.
• Lead and develop accounting staff and assess capabilities.
• Support multi-entity growth and acquisitions as complexity rises.
