Job summary

Optimas OE Solutions in Wood Dale, IL seeks an experienced Sr. Accountant, Inventory to ensure accurate inventory reporting across product lines and locations. You’ll own cost-variance analysis and inventory-related close activities, partnering with operations, procurement, and AP, while supporting the Plant Controller.

You will analyze GRNI, validate journal entries, and maintain inventory valuation in NetSuite and Epicor, ensuring timely financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close including inventory accruals and cost-variance analysis.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP as applied to inventory valuation and COGS.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close tasks including inventory accruals and related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct cost-variance analysis and ensure accurate inventory valuation across product lines and locations.
• Analyze GRNI and related journal entries, perform reconciliations.
• Review POs for accuracy and completeness.
• Support Plant Controller with Epicor inventory accounting tasks and variances.
