Job summary

The Invasive Radiologic Technician at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County performs scrubbing duties, documents procedures on the hemodynamic system, and operates radiation equipment for all procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Neuro IR Lab. These include diagnostic and interventional cardiology, radiology, electrophysiology, and neuro radiology.

Minimum pay range is $43.54–$71.84 per hour with a midpoint around $57.70; position requires ARRT, CRT and BLS/ACLS/PALS; AMA-approved

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA approved Radiology Technology program.
• One year Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Licensure: ARRT, CA CRT, CA Fluoroscopy permit (or obtain within 6 months).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Scrub duties and document procedures on the hemodynamic system.
• Operate radiation equipment for CAT Lab procedures across Cardiology and Radiology.
• Support newborns to young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease.
• Work under pressure with strong attention to detail.

Job Summary

The Invasive Radiologic Technician is responsible for performing scrubbing duties, documentation of procedure on the hemodynamic system and operating the radiation equipment for all procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization/Neuro IR Lab. These include but are not limited to Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, and Neuro Radiology. The population includes newborns through young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease and arrhythmias.

Pay Range

Minimum $43.54 Midpoint $57.70 Maximum $71.84 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

• Required: None
• Preferred: One (1) year Cath Lab experience.

Education

• Required: Required graduate from an AMA approved program Radiology Technology.

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Preferred: Knowledge of procedures and practices with diagnostic EP studies, RF/Cryo ablation, transesophageal pacing, and ICE. Identifying arrhythmias and using Micropace. Ability to configure pinning for catheter configuration.

Licensure

• Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); Radiologic Technologist -CA (CRT); Certified Radiologic Technologist - CA Fluoroscopy permit (if candidate is from out of state, California Certified Radiologic Technician Fluoroscopy must be obtained within 6 months of hire); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
