Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who perform diagnostic examinations requested or directed by an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive and non-invasive cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures. They collect subjective data and record information to establish correct anatomical and physiological diagnoses for patients.

Hourly Range: $26.36 - $42.18

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate actively in all phases of the peri-procedural process.
• Manipulate procedural instrumentation under the supervision of an Interventional Cardiologist.
• Manage supplies and equipment necessary during invasive cardiology procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist.
• Maintain sterile fields vigilantly.
• Operate independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision during advanced procedures, functioning as a circulator under RN supervision.
• Perform emergency on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty - required
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and equipment operation.
• Ability to prepare for and respond to adverse events and emergencies during procedures.
• Certification as RCIS - required upon hire
• ABLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications - required upon hire
