Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Richmond, Virginia is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist. This role requires performing invasive cardiologic procedures in the Cath or Electrophysiology Lab, preparing patients, and providing comprehensive care. Candidates need to have relevant certifications, including RCIS or RCES, and must obtain their certification within two years of hiring. Strong skills in patient monitoring and safety standards are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Requires RCIS or RCES certification within two years of hire.
• Graduate of a certificate or degree granting program in a health science.
• Must obtain RT certification within 90 days of hire for Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive cardiologic procedures in the Cath or Electrophysiology Lab.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide care pre, intra, and post procedure.
• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for actions of self and team.

Skills

Knowledge of radiation protection and safety

Ability to recognize lethal heart rhythms

Competent in routine studies

Education

Graduate of an accredited RCIS or RCES program

BLS, ACLS certification
