Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist specialized in invasive cardiology procedures in the Cardiac Cath or EP Lab. The role involves acting as scrub tech, monitor, and circulating staff on a team during diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Qualified candidates hold RCIS/RCES and/or RT credentials, with post‑hire certification timelines. BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RCIS or RCES program and obtain RCIS/RCES within two years of hire.
• OR Graduate of a health science program and obtain RCIS/RCES within two years of hire.
• For Radiologic Technology, graduate of certified JCERT radiology program and obtain RT certification by ARRT within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub, monitor, and circulating duties during invasive cardiology procedures in the Cath Lab or EP Lab.
• Prepare patients and provide care pre, intra, and post procedure.
• Collect pertinent patient data and ensure sterility and safety using ALARA and AORN standards.
