The position requires NJ nursing license and BLS/CPR; 2 years of adult critical care or ER experience; BSN in progress is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• 2 years of recent adult critical care or emergency room nursing experience required.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration utilizing modern bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Point-of-care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plans of care, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
