Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune City, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with the care team, administer medications with barcode systems, and document at the point of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• 2 years of recent critical care or emergency room nursing experience required.
• IABP and cath lab experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• National certification preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, accountability, and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team regarding patient status, care rendered, and plans.
• Medication administration utilizing barcode scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
