Job summary

Detroit Medical Center’s DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a skilled cardiovascular technologist to act as the first assistant in a busy cath lab. You will support physicians during invasive procedures, prepare patients, monitor vital signs, and manage lines and equipment to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, at least one year in a cardiac lab, and ACLS/BCLS certification, with registry preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Science with a major in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or related area.
• BCLS and ACLS Certification.
• Registration or Registry Eligible preferred.
• Experience as a first assistant in an interventional cardiac laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians before, during, and after invasive cardiac procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor status.
• Insert and remove arterial/venous lines and manage vascular access.
• Record hemodynamic data and perform calculations.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory; report to nursing units.
