Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to engineer and support modern endpoint management with a focus on Microsoft Intune and macOS platforms. You will enable a secure, compliant end-user experience and drive Intune-first management across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes macOS maturity, endpoint health, and collaboration with Security, Identity, and Network teams to ensure compliant, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of endpoint engineering or modern device management.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Intune for device config, compliance, and app deployment.
• Experience with macOS endpoints in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with ABM and macOS provisioning workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting across OS, apps, identity, and connectivity.
• Experience with Azure AD/Entra ID and Conditional Access.
• Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end lifecycle of Windows and macOS endpoints (Autopilot/ABM, provisioning, configuration, patching, deployment, retirement).
• Maintain Intune-based device management policies, including compliance and update rings.
• Support macOS endpoint management using Intune and enterprise standards.
• Maintain baseline security configurations, encryption, CA alignment, and compliance (GxP where applicable).
• Develop automation via scripting to streamline provisioning and remediation.
• Troubleshoot identity-driven access controls (Azure AD, CA, device compliance).
• Provide escalation support and root-cause analysis for complex endpoint issues.
• Leverage endpoint analytics (Nexthink) to improve device health and user experience.
• Collaborate with Security, Identity, Network, and App teams to meet security and usability standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and runbooks; support knowledge transfer to Tier 2.
