Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring technologist to perform complex monitoring and data collection during neurosurgical procedures. The role requires understanding of anatomy, neurophysiology, and electrical safety, with responsibilities that include data archiving and adherence to lab protocols.

Levels I–III involve increasing independence, supervision of trainees, and maintenance of credentialing with ABRET CNIM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences preferred or an Associate degree with equivalent experience.
• Experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) is required for higher levels.
• Certification in ABRET CNIM or registry credentials are preferred for advanced levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection and analysis of recordings and measurements of nervous system activity.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy and neurophysiology to monitoring procedures.
• Archive data and maintain lab protocols for intraoperative monitoring.
