Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist to provide specialized IONM data for surgical procedures. You will assist in real-time data collection, interpretation, and safety protocols across levels I–III, with ongoing education to maintain CNIM credentials.

The role requires familiarity with neurophysiology, anesthesia interactions, and adherence to Duke Health policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science preferred or an Associate Degree with equivalent experience.
• Level II requires 1 year of intraoperative neuromonitoring experience; Level III requires 3 years.
• CNIM certification by ABRET is required for Level III; ABRET credentials are expected for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized intraoperative neuromonitoring to assist diagnosis.
• Assist in collection and analysis of recordings and electrical activity data.
• Develop and follow lab protocols for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedures.
• Maintain continuing education and certifications as required (ABRET CNIM).

Education

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences

Associate degree with equivalent experience in health care diagnostics
