Description:

Works under general supervision of the Intraoperative Neurophysiology Supervisor and independently operates highly specialized intraoperative neuromonitoring equipment, records high quality SSEP, MEP, NCV and EMG studies during surgical cases involving the central and peripheral nervous system. Candidate is skilled at waveform recognition, instrumentation, artifact recognition and mitigation, and the appropriate reporting and documentation techniques of all IOM studies. The technologist may be called upon to assist in training and or assisting the supervisor in operational responsibilities.

Degrees:

  • Bachelors.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support.
  • ABRET Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science.
  • Must document a minimum of 1 year independent Neurophysiologic monitoring experience.
  • Current R.
  • EEG.
  • T or E.
  • EP.
  • T credential may be considered towards the required education for candidates employed in intraoperative monitoring.

Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year
