Job summary

Middle Georgia State University is seeking a part-time Student Assistant for Intramurals at the Cochran Campus. The role supports recreation, intramurals, and club sports, handling customer service, clerical tasks, and event support under supervision of the Recreation and Wellness team.

You will officiate games, assist with promotions, and act as a reliable point of contact for participants while maintaining safety and FERPA confidentiality. The position reports to student managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
• Minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Officiate intramural sports and assist with club sports events.
• Be main point of contact for participants (over 300).
• Ensure safety by knowing rules, policies and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude during games.
• Respond to emergencies per Emergency Action Procedures.
• Assist with promotion of intramural sports/events.
