Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II for the Cardiac Cath and EP labs. The role is full-time, day shift with rotating call after 4PM.

You will perform complex interventional procedures under physician direction, educate patients and families, and maintain equipment and records. Required education is a trade school graduate; BLS and ACLS within 90 days; ARRT CI/R/VI or RCIS; 1 year invasive/cath lab experience

Qualifications

• BLS required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• One of ARRT CI, ARRT R, ARRT VI, or RCIS certification.
• 1 year of invasive procedure experience preferred.
• Cath lab and diagnostics/structural heart experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex invasive interventional procedures under physician direction.
• Provides patient and family education and ensures documentation is complete.
• Maintains equipment and supplies for examinations and participates in performance improvement.

Overview:

Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring an Interventional Technologist for the Cardiac Cath and EP labs in Charlottesville, VA! This is a full time, day shift with required call.

About the department:

This well-rounded team includes 20 members focused on Cardiac Cath and EP patient populations. The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist can expect to see 10 patients per day. The schedule is Monday to Friday days with no weekends. Rotating call after 4PM is required.

The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist II performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols: provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations; participates in departmental performance improvement activities.

Education
