Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking an Interventional Technologist to perform arterial and venous interventional procedures, including complex cases, under limited supervision in a busy IR suite. Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, collecting data for outcomes and performance improvement, and supporting the IR Supervisor to keep the department running smoothly.

The role requires on-call participation with a 30-minute on-site response and meeting credentialing

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; 2-year program or 4-year BA program followed by interventional training.
• BLS Certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLx Certification within 6 months of hire.
• ARRT preferred
• Minimum of one year hospital department experience.
• On Call Required and must report to facility within 30 minutes of call back.

Responsibilities

• Complies with sterile technique.
• Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
• Responsible for carrying out any other activities assigned by the IR Supervisor or Imaging Services Director to ensure department runs effectively and efficiently.
• The IR Tech-noncertified is required to participate in the on-call rotation and is required to respond within 30 minutes when on call.
